WHAT BODY TYPE AM I?
click to find out

Ayurveda Medicine bases it’s treatments on 3 body types (Doshas)
which regulate Mind-Body harmony.
Every individual has their own unique balance of Dosha,
and keeping that unique balance in order is Ayurveda’s definition of Health.

To see what body type you are, and therefore your predominant Dosha,
click the link above.

Vata
Vata governs all movement in the mind and body.
It controls blood flow, elimination of wastes, breathing and thought movement.
Too much Vata can lead to
Worries, Insomnia, Cramps & Constipation

Vata also controls the other 2 Doshas;
Pitta & Kapha

Pitta
Pitta governs all heat, metabolism & transformation in the mind and body.
It controls our food digestion, how we metabolize our sensory perceptions,
and how our mind differentiates between right and wrong
Too much Pitta can lead to;
Ulcers, Rashes, Thinning Hair, as well as Feelings of Anger & Criticism.

Kapha
Kapha binds the elements in the body, retaining physical structure & body resistance.
It ensures our system can lubricate it’s joints, provide skin moisture,
heal wounds quickly, give itself strength, stability & energy,
maintain its immune system & memory retention.
Kapha also controls our attachment emotions and our ability to
be calm, to forgive and to love.
Too much Kapha can lead to;
Lethargy, Weight Gain, Body Congestion and Allergies.

Ayurveda Medicine is based on the belief that our Natural State is one of
Health, Happiness & Inner Sense of Well Being.
Our Body is clear of all dangerous toxins and is capable of dispelling waste efficiently,
our organs function correctly, our mind is at peace
and our emotions are calm & happy.

We can see from the above Dosha’s how everyday life can become the controlling factor in
our body’s well being, and how easily our system can become unbalanced.
Every day life- busy, stressful, wrong diet, repressed emotions & lifestyle habits
change our Dosha’s balances from order (balance) to disorder (imbalance)
causing our mental and physical systems to accumulate toxins.
Once established, Ama (toxins) begin to affect the mind & emotions system,
the immune system and the body’s rejuvenation system.

Ama is the basic cause of all disease and is therefore the key to the prevention of disease;
help the body eliminate the toxins, and your body becomes rebalanced.

Common modern day illnesses such as
Depression, PMS, Weight Problems, Arthritis and ME
all have symptoms in the above descriptions, and can be treated with Ayurveda Medicine.

Panchakarma reverses the effects of every day living.
It restores our Natural State Of Health,
and helps maintain the balance with positive lifestyle changes
